Ben Arrindell is an International Tax Consultant and former International Tax Partner and Country Managing Partner for Ernst & Young Barbados.At Ernst & Young he was responsible for co-ordinating the firm’s services to international and regional clients.  He is also a Consultant to the Government of Barbados with emphasis on tax treaty and related matters.Relevant Experience

• Ben has over 25 years of experience in providing international tax services to local, regional and multinational clients on acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and international tax structuring assignments, including the use of Barbados as a jurisdiction for international holding, licensing and financing activities.
• Ben has served as adviser to the Barbados Government since April 1998 on such matters as double taxation treaty strategy, including being a member of the tax and bilateral investment treaty negotiating team.
• He is a member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters.
• Ben is also a member of Barbados’ Joint Policy Working Group.  He spearheaded the Group’s Strategic Planning Subcommittee which developed the Barbados International Business Strategic Plan 2007-2012.
• Over the last 14 years, Ben has been a frequent speaker in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North and South America and the Caribbean on the benefits of the Barbados international business sector.
• Ben was recently confirmed to serve again as a Member of the CARICOM Working Group on Fiscal Policy.
• Presently Ben is serving his second term as Chairman of the Barbados Private Sector Association.
• Ben is a member of the Barbados Government’s Council of Economic Advisors.
